Incarnate Word University, San Antonio, Texas, hosted Texas Watercolor Society for the 70th anniversary Exhibition jurored by Carol Carter. The wonderful evening was well attended and featured our new Board of Directors and the Award Winners. TWS awarded over $8000. plus merchandise award certificates to fourteen participating artists.

Members Achievements

Jackie Liddell’s painting “ Silent Meditation” was honored with an Honorable Mention award in the 2019 International Watercolor Society of Houston Exhibition, and First Place in the 2019 Texas City Art Festival.

Jackie Liddell won the Cheap Joe’s Award for her work “Ridley Reflections” in the 70th Anniversary Exhibit hosted by TWS. This award was inadvertently omitted from the printed catalog. Our profound apologies to Jackie.

Les McDonald, Jr., Houston, Tx, was awarded second place (out of 477 entries worldwide) for his painting “Riding High” from the Watercolor Art Society-Houston International Show in April, 2019. Congratulations, Les!
