The Texas Watercolor Society Newsletter | President’s Message, by Robin H. Roberts Walker
What a beautiful and inspiring show Texas Watercolor Society had this year. The 65th Annual Exhibit at the Radius Center in San Antonio was an impressive representation of what great watercolor paintings look like. Thank you to all the national artists that took the time to enter.
I would like to say a special thank you to the TWS Board of Directors and all the committee chairs and members for helping to make this happen as well as thanks to the Radius Center and Guillermo’s catering.
Summer is a great time to recharge and gain inspiration for new works, so let’s get busy painting. The 2015 and 2016 exhibitions will be here before you know it and we already know who the jurors will be and where the workshops will take place. TWS will be ready soon to take your reservations for both of these events so please check the schedule in this newsletter and on the website.
A reminder that the 2015 TWS exhibition will take place across from the newest performing arts venue in San Antonio (The Tobin) and we hope to take full advantage of its opening and ongoing events. The 2016 TWS exhibition will move to the beautiful New Braunfels Art League Gallery for a two month show. As one of the most successful artist run galleries in the state, this venue is in a perfect location to attract art lovers from all over Texas. Remember, we are always happy to have you attend a board meeting and to join our dedicated committee members in hosting this national exhibition of the finest in watercolor paintings. We continue to need committee chairmen and women and a fresh outlook is always appreciated.
I look forward to meeting you and wish you God’s blessings as you bring inspiration and joy into the world through your talent and art.
