Membership

MEMBERSHIP in Texas Watercolor Society is $55 per fiscal year (Jan. 1 through Dec. 31) and is open to all persons 18 years of age who live within the United States of America.

Associate Membership

ASSOCIATE membership is extended to any individual paying annual dues of $55.   Associate members, in good standing (dues paid for the current year and a completed application process) have the right to vote, hold office, and participate in TWS activities. Membership forms are available on the website.

Signature Membership

SIGNATURE membership is contingent upon active associate membership and the artist having two (2) paintings accepted by jurors in TWS ‘s annual juried exhibitions. Upon checking current status and verification, active signature members have the privilege of using the initials “TWS” after their signature, provided they remain active members of the Society.

Signature membership must be applied for by the artist. Direct any inquiries to the Signature/Status chair listed on the website, www.texaswatercolorsociety.org

There are two levels of signature membership

Sage Brush (SB)

 

SAGE BRUSH status is open to signature members only.  Refer to requirements on the website or contact the signature/status chair listed.

The purpose of Sage Brush Society is to honor those active-signature members in the TWS who have continued to promote the advancement of watercolor through professional competitions. It is based on a point system with points awarded for acceptance in juried shows. These points must be accrued from the date of election to Signature Membership in the TWS.

The Sage Brush (SB) Active Signature members of TWS who have acquired 50 points by being accepted and/or receiving awards in recognized competitions.

Purple Sage Brush (PS)

 

PURPLE SAGE BRUSH status is open to signature members/sage brush status only. Refer to requirements on the website or contact the signature/status chair listed.

Purple Sage Brush (PS) Active Signature members of TWS who have acquired 75 points by being accepted and/or receiving awards in recognized competitions.
